PS-1223 temporary power at Singapore commercial fit-out

Industry: Commercial Fit-Out | Application: Temporary Site Power Before Grid Connection | Product: LESTAR PS-1223 Industrial Portable Power Station

Crews and materials can be ready before electricity is available. For a commercial fit-out project with work scheduled to begin, waiting for the grid connection creates a practical challenge: how to power the work that is ready to proceed.

At a project in Singapore, the LESTAR PS-1223 Industrial Portable Power Station was deployed to provide temporary power while the site awaited its electricity connection. By bringing stored energy to the site, it gave the team an independent power source for compatible construction loads.

Its role was straightforward: bridge the gap between site readiness and grid availability.

Bringing Power to Site Before the Grid Is Ready

In Singapore, access to a site does not necessarily mean construction power is available. A new electricity connection may require applications, installation work, inspections and energisation arrangements—all of which need to be coordinated with the project schedule.

For this project, the PS-1223 provided a way to support suitable tasks during that waiting period. Integrating battery storage, an inverter and power outlets in one unit, it can supply equipment without a continuous grid connection.

With sufficient charge and correctly matched loads, the team could plan eligible work around the available battery power, reducing its dependence on the grid connection date.

Temporary site power for fit-out work

12 kW Output for Site Equipment

Fit-out work requires more than lighting. Installation tools, cutting equipment and other site loads can place different demands on the temporary power supply.

LESTAR PS-1223 provides 12 kW of rated three-phase output at 380 V, alongside three 220 V single-phase outputs rated at 4 kW each. This configuration offers options for supplying compatible single-phase and three-phase equipment within the unit’s overall and individual output limits.

Its pure sine wave inverter and 24 kW peak power rating provide additional capacity for suitable transient loads.

23.552 kWh of Stored Energy for Planned Tasks

Delivering enough power to start a tool is only part of the requirement. The power supply also needs sufficient energy for the planned workload.

The PS-1223 incorporates a 23.552 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery. This provides an energy reserve that can be allocated across tasks according to equipment demand, operating time and simultaneous use.

Fit-out work typically alternates between powered tasks and activities such as measuring, positioning and assembly. Battery power suits this intermittent pattern without requiring a combustion engine to idle between tool operations.

Solar Charging for Sites Without Grid Power

Solar panels were also present at the project site. With the PS-1223’s solar charging capability, a correctly configured PV system offers an additional way to replenish stored energy before grid power becomes available.

This creates an opportunity to collect energy during daylight hours and use the battery to supply compatible site loads as required.

For projects awaiting an electricity connection, solar charging can supplement the charging plan and reduce reliance on transporting the unit elsewhere for every recharge.

Fast Recharging Between Assignments

Temporary power planning also needs to account for the next work period.

LESTAR PS-1223 supports three-phase AC 380 V charging, with a manufacturer-specified fast charging time of approximately 1.9–2 hours under suitable conditions. Where a compatible supply is available, the unit can be recharged between assignments before returning to site.

Solar charging and three-phase AC charging provide two replenishment options. The team can select the approach that fits the available infrastructure and daily energy demand.

Less Engine Noise and Maintenance

During battery-powered operation, LESTAR PS-1223 produces no combustion-engine exhaust and avoids the continuous engine noise associated with a running fuel-powered generator.

It also eliminates engine idling during pauses for material preparation, measurements or coordination. For longer breaks, outputs can be switched off or the unit shut down according to operating instructions.

Routine battery, cable, connector and cooling-system checks remain necessary, but there are no engine oil changes, oil filters or fuel-system servicing to schedule. Built-in protections cover undervoltage, short circuits, overcharging, overdischarging, overload and overheating.

Together, these features simplify the power-source maintenance tasks associated with temporary site use.

Helping Work Proceed During the Connection Wait

At this Singapore project, LESTAR Industrial Portable Power Station addressed a specific need: temporary electricity for work that was ready to proceed before the grid connection was complete.

From power requirement assessment and equipment selection to system configuration and charging planning, LESTAR goes beyond supplying industrial portable power stations to deliver complete temporary power solutions tailored to real-world construction needs.
